Egyptian DJ and musician Ramy, also known as Raam Band, is bringing traditional music to life by performing a traditional song with the Egyptian folk artist Hajazy Metkal in the United States. RAAM BAND with Hajazy Metkal in America celebrating the folklore.

RAAM BAND revealed that he intends to take some of the traditional Egyptian music of the world-renowned artist Metkal by re-releasing it with the voice of Metkal’s daughter. He explained that he proposed this idea to Metkal back in 2010, but the idea was put on hold due to the revolution. He decided to bring it back now on the condition that it be filmed as a music video. He added that the idea to re-release it came after he presented a collection of traditional African music he had collaborated on with several local African bands in Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar during his trip to Africa. He also performed some musical concerts in North and East Africa.

HEGAZY METKAL WITH RAAM BAND

While RAAM BAND with Hajazy Metkal in America ,He was also influenced by some jazz music concerts through his collaboration with the world-famous Eastern jazz musician Yahya Khalil, and the African jazz musician Ebo Taylor from Ghana.

While Raamband celebrates Egyptian and African folklore , he explained that he began blending Eastern and African musical heritage with international music during his concerts in Porto Ghalib Village in Marsa Alam. The concerts were a showcase of music from Egypt, Arabia, and a fertile window for many stars from around the world, Europe, and America, including Beyoncé, Nabil, Shael, Abdullah Al Ruwaishid, Haifa Wehbe, Myriam Fares, Nancy Ajram, Mohamed Mounir, Mohamed Hamaki, and Mohamed Fouad.

He added that this had a significant impact on encouraging him to weave his Egyptian and international heritage with Hajazy Metkal in a song that has an Egyptian shape and personality.”
